Festival del Garda’s Cantalago Kicks Off in Arilica with Music and Competitions

The fourth stage of the Festival del Garda, the popular Cantalago, arrives this evening at 9:30 PM at the Bastione Tognon in the Arilica city center. This is the second event, after Bussolengo, in the Veronese territory before the long trip to the Brescia province: tomorrow in Desenzano and then Gargnano (Wednesday, July 18), Bedizzole (Saturday, July 21), and Montichiari (Wednesday, July 25). The festival will return to the Riviera degli Olivi on July 27 in Torri.

Cast and musical guests

In Peschiera, the lineup of musical guests is notably crowded, starting with the winner of the latest edition of the traveling event Elena Tavernini. There will also be the return of Nena, a production of Piero Cassano, musician of Matia Bazar. Of course, Elisa Antonelli will also be present, the girl from Illasi with her Innamorata, still song written by Andrea Vantini, artistic director of Cantalago.

The cast is completed by the dance troupe from Moulin Rouge and Gamblers, by Vicenza-native Paolo Fin (Il grillo assassino), and by comedian Giorgio Zanetti, who has previously starred in TV shows such as «Beato fra le donne». The show will be hosted by former Miss Italia Susanna Huckstep, also ready to encourage the contestants in competition.

Competitions and awards

For the performer section, Luisa Allegrini (Brivido caldo – Matia Bazar), Marco Biasetti (Desperado – Eagles), Simona Tedeschi (The power of love – Dion), and Mirko Zago (Sono contento – Alex Britti) will compete.

Among the original compositions, as always, a duel between Franco Bucci (Viale della notte) and Alessandro Molinarolo (L’ombra del ciliegio) will take place.

All contestants will be offered a ticket for the Garda National Lottery, with a first prize of two billion lire.
