Ryanair Boosts Growth at Lower Bassa Airport Amid Montichiari Expansion
If Montichiari takes off, Ryanair ascends thanks to the Lower Bassa airport. Once again, the data confirms this.
Results and Goals of Ryanair
“Since we began operations at D’Annunzio — explains Sinead Finn, the company’s Sales and Marketing Manager — in July last year, we have already reached 200,000 passengers: 60% are British, the rest are Italian. An extraordinary achievement, which has gradually increased: compared to 85,000 in the July-December 2000 period, in this first part of the year, we have already surpassed 110,000 passengers.”
The goal is to close 2001 with over 200,000 passengers, more than double what we achieved last year.”
Ryanair’s Interest in Other Airports and Future Plans
Ryanair confirms its interest in other national airports — “We are negotiating with 12 airports, including the nearby Orio al Serio,” specifies Sinead Finn — and announces it is ready to purchase 50 used Boeing aircraft, but above all, it reiterates its interest in the D’Annunzio airport.
“It is a strategic airport and we are ready to strengthen our presence,” Sinead Finn anticipates. “Also for this reason, the winter schedule will include two flights per day, not just one as last year.”
Customer Loyalty and Current Bookings
Ryanair remains loyal to Brescia, with Brescia residents loyal to the airline offering affordable fares: 74% of available seats for August and 40% for September have already been booked.
