Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Area to Target Businesses

They pose as Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in the middle and upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to magazines of the corps.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, fire brigade, or municipal officers.

They often offer subscriptions to non-existent magazines or those that have nothing to do with law enforcement agencies.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately notify the Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by those who,
