Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They pose as Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurateurs in Middle and Upper Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines of the force.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, at various times, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or municipal police.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications unrelated to the law enforcement.

Therefore, exercise caution and immediately notify the genuine Carabinieri – simply dial 112 – as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
