They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to magazines from the force.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance, the police, firefighters, or municipal officers.
