They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Medio and Alto Garda areas, offering subscriptions to magazines associated with the force.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, each time, claim to belong to finance, the police, the fire brigade, or the municipal officers.

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or magazines that have nothing to do with the authorities.
