Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Region to Sell Fake Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when making phone calls to hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurant operators in the Medio and Alto Garda regions, offering subscriptions to military magazines.

They are not actual military personnel but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, police, fire brigade, or municipal guards.

How to recognize scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or those unrelated to law enforcement.
