Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri in Garda Area for Fraudulent Magazine Subscriptions

They impersonate Carabinieri when contacting hoteliers, shop owners, artisans, and restaurateurs in the Middle and Upper Garda area, proposing subscriptions to army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or municipal police.

Recognizing scams

They often offer subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications unrelated to law enforcement forces.

Therefore, be alert and immediately notify the Carabinieri — just dial 112 — as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by individuals who,
