They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hotel owners, merchants, artisans, and restaurant owners in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to magazines associated with the force.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to finance authorities, the police, firefighters, or municipal guards.
