Scammers Pose as Carabinieri Offering Fake Magazines in Garda Region

They pose as Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in Medio and Alto Garda, offering subscriptions to the arma magazines.

They are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance department, police, fire brigade, or the Comune police.

Recognizing the scams

They often propose subscriptions to nonexistent magazines or publications that have nothing to do with the law enforcement.

Therefore, be cautious and immediately alert the genuine Carabinieri—just dial 112— as soon as you suspect you have been targeted by someone who,
