Scammers Impersonate Police to Sell Fake Magazines in Garda Area

They impersonate Carabinieri when calling hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda area, offering subscriptions to army magazines.

These are not military personnel, but scammers who, from time to time, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, fire brigade, or the Municipality police.

Recognizing scams

They often suggest subscriptions to non-existent magazines or ones unrelated to the law enforcement agencies.
