Scammers Impersonate Carabinieri to Target Garda Business Owners
Pretending to be Carabinieri, they contact hoteliers, shopkeepers, artisans, and restaurants in the Middle and Upper Garda regions by phone, offering subscriptions to the force‘s magazines.
These are not military personnel, but scammers who, at different times, claim to belong to the finance police, the police, the fire brigade, or the Municipal police.
How to recognize scams
