Cornuda Social Support Project Launches to Aid Vulnerable Residents

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved parties.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation by the local community.
