Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Elderly and Disabled Lives

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funding allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European community funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.
The project aims to promote social integration and improve the quality of life of the people involved, creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring guarding and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
