Cornuda Social Support Project Promotes Vulnerable Citizens’ Well-being

Cornuda Agreement

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the implementation of the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for the people involved, creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has reaffirmed its commitment to support the initiatives, ensuring security services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation by the local community.
