Cornuda Supports Vulnerable Groups with New Social Care Project

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social integration and improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for community encounters and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting these initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
