Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Groups
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives from the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for encounter and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
