Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Community Inclusion and Care

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.
Planned Activities and Goals
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, fostering moments of meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Town Council has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable people.
