Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Elderly and Disabled Lives

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives from local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly people and disabled residents within the Municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed by regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Goals

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most disadvantaged groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, creating opportunities for community meeting and solidarity.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed itself to supporting the initiatives, ensuring oversight and coordination among the various involved entities.
