Cornuda Launches Social Support Project for Vulnerable Groups
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The proposed activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the people involved, creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
Overall, the convention exemplifies a collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable individuals.
