Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Care for Vulnerable Residents
Cornuda Agreement
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the Municipality. The total funds allocated for implementing the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has pledged its commitment to support the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life for the most vulnerable people.
