Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Wellbeing
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included local political and social forces, such as the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring oversight and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
