Cornuda Youth and Elderly Support Project Secured EU Funding

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project dedicated to supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for connection and solidarity among local citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.

Overall, the agreement represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at safeguarding and enhancing the quality of life for the most vulnerable.
