Cornuda Social Support Project Focuses on Elderly, Disabled Welfare

On June 9, 1996, a convention took place at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event was attended by several representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring security services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
