Cornuda Social Support Project Promotes Inclusion for Vulnerable Groups

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed by regional and European Union funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring supervisory services and coordinating among the various involved components.
Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation by the local community.
