Cornuda Social Support Project Enhances Elderly and Disabled Care

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved several representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will have a duration of two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated amount for the realization of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
