Cornuda Launches €100K Project for Social Inclusion of Elderly and Disabled

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project in support of the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, such as the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, aims particularly to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents of the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the realization of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and community resources.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most disadvantaged. Social transportation will also be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project aims to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating moments of meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The Municipal Administration has reaffirmed its commitment to support the initiatives, ensuring services of supervision and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
