Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K Funding
Convention in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall of Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The event involved several representatives from local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last for two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total funds allocated for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Community funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project aims to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life for those involved, also creating opportunities for community gatherings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The Municipal Administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by providing surveillance and coordination services among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will have a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active community participation.
Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens dedicated to protecting and improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable individuals.
