Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Vulnerable Groups with €100K Funding

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded by regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The Role of Institutions and Associations

The Town Council has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring supervision and coordination services among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
