Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Community Inclusivity
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Participants included some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total allocated funds for the initiative amount to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.
Planned activities and objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project seeks to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life for the involved individuals, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The role of institutions and associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting these initiatives by ensuring surveillance and coordination services among the various involved parties.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation of the local community.
Overall, the convention represents an example of collaboration between institutions and citizens aimed at protecting and improving the quality of life of the most vulnerable people.
