Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Living Conditions

On June 9, 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last two years, specifically aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the Municipality. The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and community funds.

Planned Activities and Objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transport services will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the involved individuals, also creating moments of encounter and solidarity among citizens.

Role of Institutions and Associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved parties.

Volunteer associations will play a central role in organizing and managing the activities, guaranteeing active participation from the local community.
