Cornuda Social Support Project Boosts Elderly and Disabled Well-Being
Agreement in Cornuda
On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation was attended by some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.
The project, which will last two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total allocated funding for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European Union funds.
Planned Activities and Objectives
The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization activities for the most vulnerable groups. Social transports will also be strengthened, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
The project intends to promote social inclusion and enhance the quality of life of the people involved, also creating opportunities for community meetings and solidarity among citizens.
The Role of Institutions and Associations
The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives by ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.
Volunteer organizations will play a central role in organizing and managing activities, ensuring active participation from the local community.
