Cornuda Social Support Project Promotes Inclusion and Community Care

Agreement in Cornuda

On June 9, 1996, an agreement was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. The operation involved some representatives of local political and social forces, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the realization of the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The planned activities include home care services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable groups. Social transportation will also be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.

The project intends to promote social inclusion and improve the quality of life of the people involved, also creating opportunities for meeting and solidarity among citizens.

The role of institutions and associations

The municipal administration has committed to supporting the initiatives, ensuring surveillance services and coordination among the various involved components.

Volunteer organizations will have a central role in organizing and managing the activities, ensuring active participation of the local community.
