Cornuda’s 1996 Initiative: Social Inclusion Support for Vulnerable Groups

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, aims primarily to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and community funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training, and socialization courses for the weaker groups. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
