Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Local Collaboration

Start of the agreement and participants

On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was signed at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda for a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Several representatives of local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association, and various volunteers’ associations.

Objectives and funding

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the groups most in need. Additionally, social transportation will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
