Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with Community and EU Funding

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On early June 1996, a convention was held at the Casa Sociale hall in Cornuda to sign a project supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the initiative, including the mayor, representatives of the neighborhood association and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last for two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union grants.

Activities and Expected Goals

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the more vulnerable groups. Transportation services will be enhanced, and listening and gathering centers will be established.
