Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K EU Funding

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, an agreement was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which will last two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weakest groups. Additionally, social transportation and institutions, listening centers, and gathering points will be strengthened.
