Cornuda’s 1996 Social Inclusion Project Supported by Local and EU Funds

Start of the agreement and participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for signing a project aimed at supporting the most vulnerable social groups. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and funding

The project, which will last two years, mainly aims to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative is approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded through regional and European Union funds.

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the weaker categories. Social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
