Community Initiative in Cornuda Aims to Support Vulnerable Residents
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable individuals. Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the event, including the mayor, representatives of neighborhood associations, and various voluntary organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which will last for two years, aims particularly to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality. The total amount allocated for the initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed through regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the weaker categories. Additionally, social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will be enhanced.
