Cornuda Social Support Project Launches with €100K Funding to Aid Elderly
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the socially most vulnerable individuals.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, primarily aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents within the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the ’ initiative amounts to approximately one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.
Activities and Expected Goals
The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Social transportation and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
