Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launches with Local Support and EU Funding
Start of the Agreement and Participants
On early June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of the Casa Sociale in Cornuda to sign a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable individuals.
Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the ’ operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.
Objectives and Funding
The project, which has a duration of two years, aims particularly to improve the living conditions of elderly and disabled residents in the municipality.
The total amount allocated for the implementation of the ’ initiative totals approximately one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union grants.
Activities and Planned Goals
The activities include home care services, psychological support, training courses, and socialization programs for the categories most in need.
Social transport services, as well as services, listening centers, and social gathering spots will also be enhanced.
