Cornuda Launches Social Inclusion Project for Elderly and Disabled

Start of the Agreement and Participants

On the beginning of June 1996, a convention was held at the hall of Casa Sociale in Cornuda for the signing of a project supporting the socially most vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various volunteer organizations.

Objectives and Funding

The project, which has a duration of two years, particularly aims to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the implementation of the initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, financed with regional and European funds.

The activities include domiciliary assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the groups most in need.

Social transport and services, listening centers, and meeting points will also be enhanced.
