Cornuda Social Inclusion Project Launches with EU Funding

Start of the agreement and participants

On the end of June 1996, an agreement was held in the hall of the Casa Sociale of Cornuda for signing a project in favor of the most socially vulnerable people.

Some representatives of local political and social forces participated in the operation, including the mayor, representatives of the Neighborhood Associations, and various voluntary organizations.

Objectives and funding

The project, which lasts two years, aims in particular to improve the living conditions of the elderly and disabled residents of the municipality.

The total amount allocated for the realization of the initiative amounts to about one hundred thousand euros, funded with regional and European Union funds.

Planned activities and objectives

The activities include home assistance services, psychological support, training and socialization courses for the most vulnerable categories.

Social transport and services, listening centers, and gathering places will also be enhanced.
