A Testimony of Hope from the Sanctuary of San Polo

Good day to everyone. Today I would like to share, in a few simple words from the bottom of my heart, my personal testimony and what I received from this place. I prefer to remain anonymous because this is a delicate subject for me, one that almost no one knows about, but which I would still like to share with you.

I discovered this place, and at the same time Mr. Luigi, through my husband, who had already been visiting for some time.

A few years ago, during the COVID pandemic, I went through a very difficult period in my life. Everything around me had turned dark, grey, and listless. I could no longer see anything beautiful; I could not even perceive the colors, scents, or sounds of the world. I thought there was no longer any point in trying to be happy.

During that dark time, I reached a point where I attempted to jump from the fourth floor of a hotel. But just as I was about to run, I felt the voice of Mr. Luigi inside me, saying in a firm but gentle tone: No, please, don’t do it.

Just a few words, but they stopped me instantly, literally saving my life.

For this reason, I will be forever grateful to Mr. Luigi and to the Madonna of San Polo, because without them I would not be here to tell this story. Right after stopping, I went to my partner and told him what had just happened. From that moment, both he and Mr. Luigi have always accompanied me and never left me alone. Today, Luigi still tries to teach me what life is about, reminding me that without spirituality nothing has meaning, because this life is only a passage to the real life that begins after death.

Suffering and pain serve to help us understand what it means to love and to appreciate the beautiful things in life. He taught me that we must learn to overcome them by leaning on our guardian angel, the Virgin Mary, and the people who love us. Material things do not satisfy life, except for a brief moment, while spirituality allows us to live a truly serene and happy life.

I hope this testimony can help anyone who, for one reason or another, finds themselves in my situation, suffering physically or mentally. Ask for help from the people who love you, without fear, and trust in the Madonna of San Polo and Jesus, who will surely know how to help you carry the weight of your suffering. I was fortunate to find people on my path who took me to heart and helped me. For this reason, a thank you rises from the depths of my heart to the Madonna of San Polo, to Mr. Luigi, and to my husband for all they have given me and continue to give me day after day.
