Goat Life: Hiking and Lab Sessions Across Tremosine’s Alpine Pastures

“Vita da Capre” will take place on Sunday, August 30, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Malga Ca’ dell’Era in Tremosine on Lake Garda. The event, promoted by Abibook as part of the 2026 International Year of Rangelands and Pastoralists, includes a guided hike, lunch featuring products from the local farm, and a family-focused creative workshop to explore life in the alpine pastures and the Tremalzo landscape.

The hike starts at 9:30 a.m. at Passo Tremalzo. The free route is about 4 km long, with 370 meters of elevation gain, and includes a stop at Malga Ciapa. Lunch is scheduled for 12:30 p.m., with a cheese and cured-meat tasting board for €15. From 2:00 p.m., the free workshop “Sguardi d’Alpeggio. Cercasi alberi straordinari” will run for children aged 6 to 11 and families, with a maximum of 15 participants; both the hike and the workshop require booking.
