New Electrical Substation in Bardolino to Prevent Blackouts
A new electric substation has been completed in Bardolino, in Via XX Settembre, after a €148,000 investment by the municipality and Enel. The infrastructure is intended to address power-supply issues and prevent blackouts caused by network overloads in the historic center during peak tourist periods.
The substation has an installed capacity of 400 kW: 100 kW are allocated to the new school hub, while 300 kW will serve users in the historic center. The municipality built the external structure and laid the conduits, while Enel is finishing the internal equipment and connecting the system to the grid; the plant is also designed to be expanded up to 600 kW.
