The 2nd national FIV regatta for the youth skiff class 29er concluded on Tuesday, October 8, in Gargnano. The event was organized by the Circolo Vela Gargnano in collaboration with the Società Canottieri Garda Salò and with the support of the Lombardy Region. It saw the participation of forty crews from across Italy, competing over three days under varying wind conditions. Despite the light breezes on the first two days, the final day brought an increase in wind due to the arrival of the “Vinessa,” confirming the weather forecasts.
The winners were Giulia Bartolozzi and Pietro Rizzi from the Società Canottieri Garda Salò, who dominated the standings with six victories out of eleven races, leaving their closest competitors ten points behind. In second place were their teammates Emilia Salvatore and Pietro Zandri, while the podium was completed by the triestine duo Montesano-Coslovich from the Circolo della Vela Muggia. The Circolo Vela Gargnano is now preparing for its next event scheduled for May, the Gentleman Cup, a regatta reserved for one-design boats, now in its 27th edition.
