Desenzano del Garda has inaugurated its third municipal nursery, marking a significant advancement in early childhood education for the 2025/2026 academic year. Located on Via Durighello, the new nursery “Durighello” was completed with an investment of one million euros, which included seismic upgrades and the refurbishment of the spaces. The facility offers 56 places, with 34 already allocated and 22 available, contributing to a total of 115 places across the three active municipal nurseries: Il Cucciolo, Il Pollicino, and the new nursery.
Mayor Guido Malinverno expressed satisfaction with the expansion of educational offerings, emphasizing the importance of creating safe and sustainable environments for children. All applications for the new year were accepted without waiting lists, thereby ensuring access to services for all families who applied. With fees ranging from €126.50 to €527.00 for residents and various benefits such as the INPS nursery bonus, Desenzano del Garda demonstrates a strong commitment to ensuring quality and accessibility in early childhood education.
