A boat fire occurred at Punta San Vigilio yesterday, Friday, July 4, involving a single individual who was rescued by the firefighters from Bardolino. After completing the recovery operations of another drifting boat around 3:30 PM, the team was quickly redirected to the scene of the incident. Upon arrival, the firefighters found the vessel engulfed in flames and immediately secured the passenger on board.
Despite the prompt intervention, the fire had already caused irreparable damage to the hull, which gave way shortly thereafter, leading to the sinking of the boat not far from the shore. Fortunately, no injuries were reported among those involved in the incident.
