The Lakes Goletta by Legambiente has recently completed a water monitoring campaign, revealing positive results at the six points analyzed along the Veronese shore of Lake Garda. This initiative, part of the twentieth edition dedicated to assessing water quality in Italy’s major lake basins, highlighted a significant improvement at three critical sites: the mouths of the Marra and Bosca streams in Lazise and the mouth of the Rielo stream in Peschiera del Garda, which were found to be heavily polluted in 2024 but show no issues this year.
In total, six points were monitored, including the mouths of the Gusa stream in Garda and the San Severo stream in Bardolino. All sampling confirmed compliance with legal limits, continuing the positive trend observed in previous years. Emilio Bianco, the national spokesperson for the Lakes Goletta, emphasized the importance of these results in ensuring a healthy environment for both residents and tourists, stating that monitoring will continue to preserve water quality and the ecological balance of the area.
